Zeus

Aris dreams of a time when she was little and the world was all right. She was lying in her bed one night when she heard the faint sounds of someone at her door. Curious, Aris goes to the door and sees her mother walking off.

"Mother," says Aris

"Oh, I didn't mean to wake you little one," says Malia, Aris' mother.

"It's okay mother, I wasn't tired. Why are you all dressed up," asks Aris.

"Aunt Saril needs my help, so I'm going to her aid," says Malia.

"What does Aunt Saril need help with? Can I help too," asks Aris.

"No Aunt Saril and I are doing something to protect you and the kingdom. Possibly when you are older you'll have the power and the responsibility to care for the ones you love, like your Aunt does now," says Malia.

"Ohhh, if I had powers like Aunt Saril, I would do my best to protect you and father and everyone else on Zeus," Aris says with exuberance.

"You'll surely make me very proud one day. I must be off, so you go to bed and go to sleep. I love you deeply," Malia says softly.

"Ok. I love you a lot too, mother. Goodnight and tell Aunt Saril I said goodnight to her too,"says Aris as she goes into her room and lies down in her bed.

Aris' dreams ends as she pictures her mother walking down the castle corridor for what was the last time.
